Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Memory Heist mobile application ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Memory Heist is licensed to you through the Apple App Store and is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Where these Terms and Apple's EULA differ, the stricter provision applies to your use of the app.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to download and use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and Apple's Licensed Application EULA. This license is for personal, non-commercial entertainment use only.
2. Ownership
The app, including its design, code, artwork, sound, levels, and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license above, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by law.
3. User-created content
The app includes a level editor. Levels you create are stored on your device. You are responsible for the content you create. You retain ownership of your original level designs; by sharing a level (for example, via a share code), you grant recipients permission to view and play it.
4. Purchases
The app may offer one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchases processed by Apple. All sales are handled by Apple and subject to the App Store's terms. Refunds are managed by Apple in accordance with its policies. Purchases can be restored on your devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to disrupt its operation, circumvent purchase mechanisms, or use it in any unlawful manner.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
8. Changes to the app and Terms
We may update or discontinue features of the app at any time. We may also revise these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where Apple's EULA specifies otherwise.
